Man and Van in London, NW9

Not that of help, but everything else was good. I paid for the driver to help looks like I expected a lot, but fair enough everything else was fabulous.

Booked a medium van with a driver for 2 hours at 8:30am. The driver arrived 50 minutes late despite confirming he would try to be there on time, not before trying to move it by 1.5 hours at midnight the day before. The van was disgusting, with rubbish and food everywhere. Even worse, the driver smoked inside the van, including while driving. The entire 20-minute journey was filled with smoke and rubbish. The service only lasted 1 hour instead of the 2 hours I paid for, and the driver provided very limited help with the move. I have screenshots of the messages and a video showing the condition of the van.

Had no issues with the driver or his companion. However it was disappointing to be charged an extra £120 for the job running overtime, which was at least partly beyond our control; I thought that the amount originally paid made allowance for the journey time.

This was a THE WORST moving experience I have ever had in my 48 years. He was one hour late and proceeded to be extremely rude and disrespectful and tried to charge me for “having too much stuff” even though I paid for 3 hours with a large van. He refused to deliver my things until I paid him. My things fit in the van perfectly and even with him being on his phone and complaining and cussing at me, it only took 2 hours with me doing most of the work. He obviously tried to take advantage me of by trying to get me to pay him money when I continuously explained that I paid for the correct van size and actually paid for 1 hour over than was needed. It only took 40 minutes to load and 30 minutes to unload. He was supposed to give me a ride to my new house, as I requested in my booking, but once I was in his van and he proceeded to be rude and disrespectful demanding more money, I got out of the van and ubered because I did not feel safe. I will be filing a formal complaint.
