Man and Van in Hounslow, TW3

We originally booked 2 hours of help (including 3 flights of stairs) for £171, but were pressured into quickly transferring an extra £230 at the destination. The guy that arrived wasn't Ali that we booked. We experienced the following issues: --Despite clear prior instructions, map links and verbal and physical directions in person, the driver parked in a recycling centre and was blocked in. For the first 1 hour and 15 minutes, absolutely nothing was loaded. When challenged, Ali (the actual booking contact) turned up and was aggressive and unprofessional about the delay.
 --We specifically paid extra for assistance with 3 flights of stairs. Instead, three of us had to carry the heavy furniture and large boxes down and into the truck ourselves, while the worker mostly ferried smaller items across flat ground.
 --The worker seemed to load deliberately slowly during the loading phase. However, because they were suddenly rushing for their next job, he unloaded three times as fast at the destination.
 --Boxes heavily marked "VERY FRAGILE" with large orientation arrows were often carried and loaded upside down, even when trying to explain that they need to be upright. 
 --At the destination, we were pressured into paying a £230 surcharge based on a false claim of 3.5 extra hours at £35 per 30 minutes. In reality, our active overtime was only 2 hours and 15 minutes (3 hours 15 minutes loading, plus 1 hour unloading). Furthermore, it seemed unfair to charge us an overtime rate for the 1 hour and 15 minutes lost exclusively to the driver's parking error.
 To be honest, I could’ve rented a van for £80 which honestly would have been easier overall.

We had a most unusual move affected by an upstairs neighbour having a mental health crisis and police intervention being required. Ali took it all in his stride, never once lost his positive attitude despite all uncertainties in this situation and still completed the job to the highest standard. We could not fault him today and we were so grateful for his understanding, particularly with the need for extra security measures. Thank you so much Ali!

Highly reccomend Ali, straight to the point. Super contact, give a head up before arraving. Ask if I need extra pair hands. On time, quit delivery and loading and unloading.

Ali’s service exceeds my expectations. I made a mistake in the commission saying that there were no stairs (but there were two flights indeed), but he pulled through like a gentleman despite his injured finger. Such a great sport! Also took great care in moving not to scratch the walls or the glass panels of the premises. Will definitely recommend!

Nice enough fella, and polite, but didn’t pack the items into the van well - space wasted - and as I result I need to hire another van to take the rest when it could have easily fitted.
QMAV Response: Customer booked "no help" for loading/unloading - so it was not driver's duty to load the van.
